Just eleven years ago, on Father's Day, area residents rallied against new bars on Maple Street. Check out the passion of the speakers in this video. Brian Sweeney, who closes the video, died suddenly in 2008 and is missed by all who knew him. Brian's words were prophetic, and Councilmember Jay Batt, who supported the new bar, lost the next election to Shelley Midura, who began her campaign with a march starting at Bruno's.
